Hi Club Members,
It’s time for another brief update on progress of various clean energy projects
and products that you have access to through the GET Power Club.
Green Electricity: The Club is still registering Witnesses for the stadium
event. We are still hopeful we can hit the target of July 10th 2009. We still
need to have a total of 1.6 million registered witnesses. … I know it is
frustrating. Many of you have been registered for 4 years or longer. Please hang
in there. I admit the UCSA mascot must be the tortoise but as the LORD wills, we
will finish the race.
PICC: Those of you who have kept up with the Newsflash page,
www.getpowerclub.com/newsflash.htm , are already aware of what happened with
Ford. Bottom line; UCSA had a few dealers and overly aggressive HAFC mechanics
that violated the letter of intent, preliminary agreement with Ford. Just a
handful of guys spoiled the deal with Ford by demanding to know the testing
results of phase 1 and 2 engineering tests of 48 of the Dutchman HAFC kits. One
of our dealers went so far as to put the Ford logo on some promotional
literature he sent out to potential customers. Needless to say when the Ford
family got wind of this, they pressured Ford management to divorce themselves
from any relationship with Dutchman Enterprises. This was a big disappointment
for all of us. Having access to all that engineering data and to reprogramming
the Ford on-board computers and the credibility of being associated with a big
name auto maker would have been a giant step forward for us. But …. in the long
view, Dutchman, UCSA and GET Power Club members may be better off without a link
to Ford due to pricing and time to market of the PICC and the HAFC.
HAFC: With the bowing out of Ford, Dennis Lee has opened negotiations with
another big company; a very well know sales/ marketing firm. He will not
announce who they are until he has a solid contact in hand but he says,
“Everyone will recognize the brand name of this group and nobody will want to
challenge their veracity.” They are professionals in product branding and
promotional literature and have a strong track record with the target market we
are going after. That market is, not the auto makers but the some 15,000
national auto dealerships. These dealerships are really hurting in today’s
economy. Many have large sales and customer support teams and 20+ auto service
bays and dozens of highly trained mechanics. Most of the dealerships are getting
very little help from their respective auto makers. We believe that a high
percentage of these dealerships will respond enthusiastically to a professional
presentation from a well established brand named marketing company. There will
be nothing in the literature about Dennis Lee or Dutchman. The HAFC kit may even
get new name and a higher price for the product but Dutchman will supply the
kits and the training of the mechanics for those dealerships. GET Power Club and
the Club Recruiters can continue to sell the HAFC kits at our reduced prices but
our customers will then have a choice of having it installed by a professional
dealership of their car’s brand or an independent certified HAFC mechanic.
There have been significant improvements to the HAFC kit and Dutchman has beefed
up the R&D and technician support for the product. The Installer Support web
site is due for a major upgrade any day now but most of the vehicle specific
data will be moved to the password protected back office. Only Certified HAFC
mechanics will have access to that info. Dutchman announced that the over-all
success rate of installations performing at 50% or greater MPG improvement is
now over 70% for trained installers who check in on the Monday night Tech
Hotline for updates and discussion of trouble issues.
To celebrate the end of the beginning of the HAFC and PICC and give all the Club
