There is so much info on our Engine Technologies that I have split the pages. This page now contains just the PICC Technology. Click Here to read about the HAFC Technology. Click Here to read the official statement concerning Dutchman and Ford. Click Here to read a follow-up statement concerning Dutchman and Ford. The Pre-Ignition Catalytic Converter
12/20/06- We have decided that the trade name for the kit will be the PICC Kit it will sell for about $4,000 (Price updated 2/1/08). 6/11/07-There is also phase 1 kit, the HAFC Kit (more info below), for all gas vehicles for $995 retail. HAFC kits for diesel vehicles are not ready yet. We sometimes refer to the PICC kit as able to get up to 100mpg as well because of the option to add water as a fuel (more info later). The modification will be based on the technology shown below on a small engine. It's pet name is the "Pickle Juice" engine because the Mason Jar contains a concoction including pickle juice, Coca Cola, coffee, waste oil, urine and a 1/2 cup of gasoline.
The gray diagonal pipe with the muffler on the lower left end is the heat exchanger/reactor. The heat from the exhaust and a catalytic reaction vaporizes and breaks down chemical compounds to their elemental components. This allows a complete and clean burn of the air/fuel mixture. This process will work on all internal combustion engines, including diesel and fuel injection engines, though it may be a few extra months before we develop these kits. Better World Technologies has a few dozen cars that have prototypes based on this technology and the vehicles range from 2 to 5 times prior gas mileage with virtually nothing but O2, CO2 and H2O out the tail pipe ! In early 2006, some major improvements to the process were discovered and had patent protections filed. This includes an additional port to allow 50/50 mix of water and gas ! So ... a vehicle with a properly installed and adjusted kit that gets 50mpg on gasoline alone could be further enhanced by adding an auxiliary tank to supply water and thus double the mileage again to 100mpg ! I know this sounds outrageous but the kit produces fumes from a plasma that is generated at the reactor rod of elemental Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon and whatever else is in the fuel mix. Those fumes are what your car engine runs on. Our kit just conditions the fuel far more efficiently so the engine can extract almost all the energy from the explosion and exhaust totally non-polluting reaction products. 2/1/07 Update- We have a new web site. Please go to www.preignitioncc.com/get1 . There is an excellent presentation about how the PICC kit works. While there, please request a quote for your own vehicles. There is no obligation ... just letting us know which kits to develop first. 5/09/07 Update- Great news from the PICC research group ! The test engine, a 318ci Chrysler V8, was benchmarked at 18 pounds of gas for a 1 hour run, 50% rated load at 3,000rpm. Under same test conditions with latest PICC kit, it burned only 2 pounds ! This translates to a fuel consumption of about 180mpg at 65mph ! Lee says that research is still underway to bring the PICC kit out in the Spring 2008. 6/20/07 Update- Dennis related today that a new engine that was purchased for the test stand at the dynamometer facility near Detroit has been installed. The team is setting the Chrysler 318 ci V8 to be tested in an SUV type application. They also took the old engine off the stand and rebuilt the transmission and then installed it (with the PICC kit) in a company owned Dodge conversion van. We wanted to test the PICC kit on the road in typical driving conditions. Unfortunately, while driving the van back to our lab in Newfoundland NJ, our mechanic was rear ended by a teenage drunk driver who hit the van going >100 mph ! Our mechanic was unhurt, praise the LORD, but we think that the van will have to be totaled out. He was able to limp the van into the lab but it is now undriveable. I’m not sure whether the prototype PICC can even be salvaged. 12/1/07 Update- Dutchman Enterprises, the company Dennis Lee is working with to develop our engine technologies, has secured a booth at the WIREC conference in Washington DC March 4-6, 2008. WIREC stands for Washington International Renewable Energies Conference. The will be companies, visitors and media coverage from all over the world there to see the latest emerging technologies. We intend to have a new SUV type vehicle with transparent floor boards to showcase the PICC technology. It will be set up on a portable dynamometer so as to show the world that our technology produces 100 MPG+ fuel economy with greatly reduced emissions and no loss in performance. We will also have the HAFC modified 2006 Mazda 3 that gets 121MPG on display. 3/12/08 Update- The WIREC Show was a tremendous success ! We actually displayed a Dodge Conversion Van with a Chrysler 318 cuin V8 engine. The van tests out at over 100MPG on a stationary dynamometer. It is illegal to drive it on the road because the original catalytic converter has been removed. It was too ambitious to bring the dynamometer set-up we hoped to do at the show. We did however have mounted cameras and displayed how the system is mounted beneath the van. Please read the Press Release (Click Here) where Dutchman emphasized the need for fast track EPA testing so we can bring this product to the public. See the bottom of the Picture Page for a few pictures of the show. We also had the 2007 Honda with a single cell HAFC kit on display. This car is street legal and gets 85MPG on the highway. The HAFC is simply Phase 1 of the PICC process. 10/08/08 Update- PICC testing is on-going. The latest report was that the 5 gas analyzer, that was just recalibrated, indicated 0 ppm Hydrocarbons, 0% NOX, 0% CO, 0% CO2 and 22% O2 ! It made us think that the analyzer was messed up but it responds as expected on an unmodified vehicle. The O2 concentration in the air is just 18%. The "GO Green" people really ought to love us ! |
